Okay so today so far hasn't been the best day.
I woke up a bit later than I was hoping to so I only got a nectarine for breakfast and I forgot to weigh myself. I went to work and had an unpleasant day working with Bear all morning (or rather working without Bear all morning) and I burnt my hand with soup. Then I bought Panda Express which wasn't my finest moment of the day and I ate all of it. Needless to say I wont be eating anything else today. I have exercised yet because I was at work all morning and I am working at Chili's tonight from 3:30 til I am cut. Then I will come home and do some Wii fit and then go to see World War Z with Sam. Off to get ready to work at Chili's now! Until tomorrow!

It's already July!
Obviously I haven't updated as much as I said I would last month but that's because I can hardly believe it is already July. Time has just gotten away from me. Anyway, life update! Work is still going well. Kneader's is fine. It's interesting being the person to deal with the customer complaints. It amazes me what people will complain over, how worked up people will get and how greedy people can be. I promise to never freak out over a miss made sandwich and I promise to never try to get anything for free just because I think I can. As for Chili's, I am having mixed feelings about it. I like the general job of waiting tables at chili's but I am having a difficult time with some of my coworkers and I still have a lot to "get comfortable" with.
I am loving being relief society president. There's still SO much to do but I look at what I have done in the past month already and I just know it's going to be a great year. I know almost all the girls in my ward now and I am getting to know more and more about them as the weeks go on. It's been a wonderful experience so far and it will be an interesting one when the fall semester starts!
Speaking of the fall semester. Is it sad that I just want summer to be over and fall semester to start. I know I am anxious in part because it's my last fall semester before I graduate but I am also looking forward to the classes and all the people returning. I am looking forward to having homework to do! (those of you who know me well... bet you never expected that one!) I am just really excited for what this year has in store. I am terrified of what I will do afterward but I say bring it on anyway!
Things are still going well with Sam. We had a really great talk the other night and cleared the air on some matters. Nothing too serious. I have just been feeling that he likes me more than I like him and it's been worrying me because I didn't want to lead him on, or disappoint him but I also didn't want to rush into feelings that I just don't have yet. So we talked about it and we both know where the other stands.
Nothing else new to report! Life is pretty much the same from day to day!

On the Lame Side
So rereading my last post I realized that it was a bit on the lame side (especially after reading my brother-in-law's last post). So I decided that one in the morning would be a good time to update so here is a more detailed update:
First I mentioned that I received a new calling as Relief Society President. Okay so I think I diminished how excited and how anxious I am about this calling. I am anxious because I know what a time consuming and spiritually, physically and emotionally draining calling this is going to be, especially for someone like me who is already every emotionally connected to people (even ones I don't know very well). That is also the reason I am excited for this calling. I know that I will be given countless opportunities to learn and grow and become strengthened by the people around me, but I also know that I have many experiences to share and so much love and compassion to share that I will have the opportunity to teach and strengthen others with my influence and I am grateful for the privilege to share what I know and to care so much for the sisters in my ward. I am grateful for the wonderful examples I have had in the past and for the support system I have in my ward, my stake and in my life with friends and family! I hope to update often with experiences, blessings and lessons I learn through serving in this wonderful calling. I also just want to say that I am so grateful for the strength and power of prayer. Heavenly Father knows me and he hears my prayers. I know this to be true because this new calling is a direct answer to one of my smaller prayers to have the opportunity and the courage to get to know the people in my new ward! I am so grateful for the trials in my life and I am grateful for the challenges that come my way through the answers I receive. They make me stronger and they teach me that nothing in life is as satisfying as succeeding through the struggles!
Now for an update on the new job! So here is the scoop. I work at Kneader's Bakery and Cafe still. I work 5 days a week there (Sundays we are closed and I get one other day off a week). Everyday I work open (6 or 6:30) until about 1:30 or 2 pm except for Saturdays which I now work 3-11 pm as the shift lead. What that means is that I am the acting manager I answer the phones, I resolve customer issues, concerns and complaints. I supervise the other employees and oversee pastry hour, I make the start for Monday breads and I close down and lock up at night. I am the last person to leave and I am responsible for anything that goes wrong or isn't done at the end of the evening. I give specific details about my job description because for those of you who don't know me well now have an idea of what my Saturday nights entail and those of you who know me too well can now get a bit of an idea how much extra pressure I put on my self on Saturday nights... I hope that as I get more comfortable and familiar with being the shift lead I also become more efficient with my time. Anyway, that is the scoop with Kneader's. As for Chili's, tonight was my 5th solo shift (meaning my 5th night working where I keep the tips and I am no longer "training"). So far things are going well, I have made around $200 in just 5 shifts so that is exciting. I hope that as I become more familiar with the system, the food, the alcohol (Knowing how to sell it and what it is) and the customers. I will earn more in tips. For now I am doing well though. I also hope to get faster, more efficient and have a faster turnover for my tables so I can just wait on more tables per hour and increase my income that way. I am really enjoying working at Chili's so far. Some people get a little too stressed at work and I am sure it's in part because they have been there so long that some things just rub them the wrong way just a bit more than others. I am going to try not to let it stress me out. I quite enjoy 98% of the customers who come into Chili's (there are always "those" people who make up that 2%) and I tonight I even had some customers that I waited on in the morning and in the evening... One of my tables the woman and her daughter had come through the Kneader's drive thru this morning and apparently the daughter is learning how to drive and she didn't want to have to order at the Drive thru... it was a great conversation and it was really neat to have served them in the morning at one job and then the evening at the other... it's interesting to see how people tip out here... Some people tip really well ($10 on a $30 tab) and other's are awful tippers ($1 on a $25 tab) But for the most part I am doing really well tip wise. The most difficult part of this job is just being familiar with alcohol and keeping up at a pace with experienced and seasoned servers. I'll continue to update about Chili's and hopefully share stories about experiences I have there... I am glad this week is over though... I worked from about 6:30 am until 8:30 pm Tues,Wed and Thurs and then today I worked from about 6:30 am until 11:30 pm... My feet and knees are so sore... but I am going to sleep in tomorrow and I am going to take a nice long shower when I finally get up! Anyway I close tomorrow night at Kneader's and then I am done until Tuesday from both jobs!!!
Now for details about the guy I am dating. He's cute and quirky. He's sweet and kind. He gave me flowers (purple tulips) just because. He really likes me and I like him. I don't know where it is going or if it is going to progress further than it is right now (where ever that is) but I am taking things as they come and I am trying not to think too hard about it right now... I want to get to know him better and I enjoy spending time with him... We have nice conversations and he's a good kisser so both perks! His name is Sam (I may have mentioned this in previous posts) but most people in Logan know him as Lee. It's a long story to type so if you want to know it give me a call and I can explain further. I like the name Sam better and he looks more like a Sam then a Lee to me, so that is what I refer to him as! Like I said, quirky. He makes me smile and I enjoy spending time with him... That's pretty much all I have to share (for now) on this subject though!
My last update is about the perfect new addition to my already amazing family! On May 9th my sister gave birth to a beautiful little angel named Emma. I have seen lots of pictures and I got to hear her a bit over the phone when my dad was visiting. I haven't been blessed with the opportunity to hold the cutest baby ever yet but I am hoping I will be able to sometime this summer!!! I am so grateful to be an aunt to such a perfect little sweetheart! If you can't tell yet I just think Emma is wonderful and I am so very excited and happy for her parents Kristen and Adam (sister and brother-in-law). I am also excited that they get to be parents, they will make AMAZING parents and I am blessed to have them in my life! As I said I haven't met Emma in person so I don't have much else to say about her yet, except that once again I think she is just the cutest most lovable, most perfect angel ever!
I am much more satisfied with this post than my previous one, even if no one reads this one all the way through! Anyway, until our next encounter!

June- May's update!
Wow I can't believe it's June already! So much has happened this month. I was called as Relief Society president in my singles ward. It's going to be quite a summer and quite a year! I got a second job at Chili's in addition to working days as head cashier at Kneader's and now I am a shift lead on Saturday nights at Kneader's also! I started dating someone, just casual for now, I don't know if it will progress but he's sweet so I am just going to see where things go! I finally have a room in my apartment. It's mostly organized at this point, I have just one more carload of stuff from my storage unit to unpack. What else, I bought 2 new outfits and they are adorable and I can take parts of one of them and mix and match them with other articles of clothing and create even more "new" outfits!!!
Other than that not too much is new. I have an adorable niece I can't wait to meet and I am looking forward to the school year to start so I can finish my degree! That's pretty much it! Anyway I'll update again if I have anything to update!

On my way!
So I passed all my classes this semester and I am only one year away from graduating! I don't know 100% what my plans are after graduation, I might go for my MBA, I might look for a marketing job somewhere, I might go on auditions, I might go home... At this point my I am keeping my options open.
I officially move into my new apartment tomorrow but I am calling the property group today to see if I can move in early because tomorrow is going to be a busy day.
I got a second job at Chili's; orientation is tomorrow for about 5 hours and then I'll be training for the next week. I'm excited. I interviewed yesterday (it was the last day of interviews) and the gentleman who interviewed me told me my interview went really well and that he was impressed by me so that was nice to hear. I received the email and a phone call last night letting me know that I was hired so that was great.
In other news I am working day shifts at Kneader's now and I am the new head cashier so now I will be attending managers meetings and be a little more in the know. I'm excited for the new experiences I will be having this summer. It will be an interesting summer, I will be working a lot. I will be working nearly 40 hrs a week at Kneader's and as close to full time as possible at Chili's. I am hoping to work as much as possible during the summer so I can save money, pay down most of my debts and not feel overwhelmed because of money. After summer I plan on staying at both jobs, Kneader's in the mornings and Chili's on the weekends. I will have weeknights free to get my homework done. This is going to be great because I will occupy most of my time so I wont have any to waste doing nothing.
My niece is really close to making her way into this world; my sister (and everyone she knows and her doctor) thinks she will come any day now. My sister is going to make an amazing mother and my brother-in-law is going to be an amazing father! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family, all of them!
Anyway I just wanted to update with all the new happenings in my life. If anything else new and exciting happens I will be back. Until then keep smiling!

Update just because
As my semester comes to a close I am excited to say that my classes are still going well, my final assignments are done (or mostly done) and will receive great scores, I'm not terrified to take my finals, I have a home for the summer and the fall and, thanks to the government paying me back what I "overpaid" in taxes, I no longer have to worry about how I am going to get enough ahead to finally start saving some money!
I should be working more during the summer and I am looking for a second job so I can save even more.
I registered for my fall semester classes on Monday; I was able to register for all the classes I wanted and it only took 6 minutes start to finish.
After this week all I have left of non final school work is a quiz in my management class and a homework assignment in my Operations Management class. I am ready for summer and I am excited to have my own room again!
My friend Janet apparently gave my phone number to another gentleman friend of hers. His name is Sam; he called me Monday night but I haven't had the opportunity to call him back.. Perhaps tonight I can call him and set up a date? I'm not dating otherwise... it's slightly disappointing but I'm more okay with it now than I usually am!
That's all the update I can think of for now... I will write again soon.

April Blog post
I'm getting closer to my "1st of the month" deadline I set for myself! Today is only the 3rd and I am updating my blog.
Okay so what is new... The semester is almost over, my first finals are on Monday April 29, one at 9:30 and the other at 11:30 am! I no longer have to take a final in my MGT 3110 class (managing organizations and people) because my group worked over 100 hrs. I explain that in a bit. My last final is on Thursday May 2 at 9:30 and is only expected to go an hour and a half max with 100 multiple choice questions. I'm very excited about that! I figured out my schedule for next fall, I'll be taking 18 credits but not all at once because of the 2 credit (1/2 semester) classes I'll be taking. My last semester at Utah State (at least for my bachelor's degree) will be 13 credit hrs and 5 of them will be 2 credit classes!
Okay so my MGT 3110 class... we had this semester long assignment/group project. It was a service or fundraising project for a charity/cause of our choice. We were given the requirements of the project and an extra incentive for raising money/service hours. If the group as a whole raised $1000 or more OR worked 100 execution hrs or more, the members of the group would receive an A on the final... My group decided that we would aim for 100 hrs because the organization we decided to donate to is the Cache Valley Food Pantry. We organized food drives at 3 local schools, 2 private elementary schools and a charter school: elementary and Jr High. We have collected over 4500 lbs of food so far and over $100 in cash donations (which we will use to purchase food and get the weight above 5000 lbs). We reached our hrs goal on Friday after hosting "congratulations" parties for the top 2 classes in each school and still had a concert planned on Saturday (that went extremely well) so we are well beyond our goal of 100 hrs. All we have left to complete for the project is our presentation that is scheduled for the last week of classes. We spent roughly $10 for everything (1000 prints, 10 pizza's, 6 large tubs of Aggie Ice Cream, 25 bags of candy and advertisements) and that will be reimbursed by one of my group member's employer also with a $300 donation to the food pantry from the same employer! This project has been a wonderful opportunity to learn how to interact with members of the community and learn how to utilize all possible resources.
Work: so work has been going pretty well, I wish I were working just a bit more but thankfully summer is just around the corner so I will be given more hours. I picked up someone's shift today from 11-2 so I was able to talk to my manager. He wanted to make sure I would be here during the summer, which I assured him I would be, he also wanted to talk to me about my availability during the summer because he wants me to work opening shifts starting as soon as possible. The girl who worked open until now has given her 2 weeks notice and will be done in a week. There is another girl who can work opening shifts right now but he prefers her as an expediter rather than a cashier. With that I might be able to actually find an additional job for the summer working nights somewhere else (like a restaurant) and just save money. In addition I will have at least 4 mornings a week during the fall semester when I am available to work so I might not have to work as many closing shifts anymore! I'm quite excited about that. Everything is falling into place with work and school to coordinate easily! I am training a new hire tonight because we apparently are losing 6 front of store employees so they have hired 2 new people for the summer so we wont be completely short handed (but they don't want to hire much more than that because they want to be able to give people more hours for the summer).
Social/Romantic life: Not much is new in this department. I'm still single, still not dating anyone. I'm frustrated because there is someone that I know has feelings for me and cares about me, but I just don't think he cares enough. I haven't heard from him in forever and I haven't talked to him in forever because I am tired of putting my life on hold so everyone else can move forward. I am also tired of waiting for the same people over and over again and I want someone to want to be with me enough that I am worth making sacrifices for. I have made a decent share of sacrifices for others without the same courtesy in return! I just want to be pursued and wooed! I think I deserve it!
General life: That's pretty much everything. I filed my taxes and I will be getting a decent return. I'm waiting to hear/contact someone about housing but have been unsuccessful in making contact! I'll try again today before work and tomorrow and so forth until I reach someone! But other than that nothing too new! I am excited for my sister and my brother-in-law who are expecting a little girl in May! I keep them and the rest of my family in my prayers and I can't wait to see everyone soon! I love you all!

Better Late Than Never
Okay so I know it's not the first, but it's still March so I guess that's better than nothing! Anyway, Life has been pretty crazy the past few weeks so I figured updating my personal blog was not the most important task on my to do list!
So let's see.. what is new? Nothing happened with that guy that I was all excited about a few weeks ago, Jason. We went on a second date (we made wraps and ended up just talking to each other) on a Tuesday night and then he drove me home. Saturday of the same week he called me. I thought he was going to ask me out on another date but he was calling to let me know that he didn't think we were compatible and probably wasn't going to ask me out again! I was actually really okay with it, even though it's always difficult to be told that someone isn't interested in you, but I'd rather know now than later!
Now there is a new guy I am crushing on. I wont mention his name right now but I am pretty sure he's not interested in dating me even though he enjoys flirting with me a lot. I'm cool with crushing on someone who might not be interested in me when I have classes to focus on... So come summer I will worry about being interested in more available people.
I had midterms this past week and I did well in all of them.. I am doing really well in all my classes this semester so far. We also had to deal with another bed bug spraying. We had to move everything back out of our apartment and dry it all before we could move it back in. Then I had to make a couple hundred mint chocolate cookies for Aubrey's recital on Thursday night. It's been a long and pretty rough week but I made it through and I am ready for Spring Break (which I guess technically started on Friday after classes).
I'm working for most of Spring Break but I have the end of spring break off so I can go to Boise and Melanie's Farewell talk! I'm excited to go to Boise, I've never been and it should be interesting!
Nothing else is really new and exciting! Just trying to make it through the semester and figure out the rest of my life! I hope all is well with everyone else and I will update again soon!

This is my plan...
Okay. So I have come to a decision. I am going to commit to post once a month. I am going to post on the first of the month, every month. If I post other days that's fine too, but I want to keep people updated and I need to keep working on creating positive habits!
SO here's the update. I went on a blind date the other night (Saturday Jan 23) and I had a really great time. It was low pressure but still fun. We just talked and played games (it was a double blind date) and it was just really nice. I don't know what I think about him yet. His name is Jason. He's going to school to become a personal trainer but he's not super obsessive about his body, he has healthy eating habits and likes to workout but isn't intense about it! He's older than me which is really nice and refreshing. (I don't mind men who are younger than me, it's just tough to find one who's on the same page as I am sometimes) Anyway, he text messaged me two days ago just to see how my week was going, but I don't know what to do from here. I'm sure he's still trying to figure it out too... I don't want to seem not interested, but I don't want to seem too eager either.... HELP!!!
In other news... Yeah, there really isn't any other news! Anyway... I'll keep you all posted (I promise). Love you all!
UPDATE!!!!! So Jason asked me out again... I'm glad I don't have to freak out about what to do anymore. We are going bowling on Tuesday! I'm excited to have some more time to get to know him. I'll update again soon. Until then be safe and know I love you all!

Long time
It's been a long time since my last post. I wont try to catch people up on everything that has happened since my last post because that would take too much time and effort on my part and WAY too much time to read!
So my life now:
Started classes, doing really well so far this semester. I have mostly 95%-96% in most of my classes except one that I have 108.3%. I'm taking a Preparation for Celestial Marriage institute class and it is probably the best institute class I have ever taken! I love the doctrines we are learning and I'm learning how to find connections to doctrines and relationships (even if they aren't directly related). I'm not in any choirs that I started the year out in, but I am taking Institute Choir, we don't have a ton of performances this semester so it's not taking time away from work or school.
As for work, I'm not getting a ton of hours so I might be looking for something in addition to Kneader's or maybe instead of if it comes to that! I still enjoy working at Kneader's I just hate not actually having money! Plus payroll has changed; instead of getting paid every two weeks we get paid twice a month. The pay period is from the first to the fifteenth and the sixteenth to the end of the month, which means I get paid on the 7th and the 22nd of every month! I hate twice a month pay schedules!
In other news I went on a blind double date last week and it was really nice... That sounds lame but I haven't had a really nice date in a while. His name is Jason. He was a great date, opened all my doors, asked me questions, answered my questions about him, walked me to my door and gave me a hug goodnight. It was a sweet night. When we arrived at his apartment we talked (all 4 of us) for most of the night and then we played Catch Phrase for the last 30 min. It was a lot of fun!
I just got called as choir director in my ward. So now I will be at ward choir every week, but at least now I know I will be able to tolerate the choir director. haha hopefully! Other than that, Bridgette and I are trying to get to know more people in our ward. We are making mint chocolate cookies and bringing them with us when we walk up and down our neighborhood getting to know new people. It's going okay right now... Not perfect but such is life when dealing with other people! Although Sunday was great... I got my car stuck in the snow in a friends parking lot and a group just materialized and people were digging me out and pushing my car. It was so great to have so many strangers helping me... It restored my faith in humanity a bit!
Not too much else is happening in my life... But I'll be back on in a few days to possibly update and or catch people up a bit more on past happenings!
